September 27, 2016 – The episode of The Good Place I directed airs this Thursday, September 29th at 8:30pm/7:30 central on NBC. Check it out! It’s an awesome show. Watch the trailer here!

August 25, 2016 – Awesome news. I’m directing and executive producing a very fun pilot for Comedy Central with my friends Julian Sergi, Zack Pearlman and Andrew Guest. The show is about two brothers who leave a prominent white supremacy group and move to Los Angeles to start a new life. Here’s the announcement from Deadline Hollywood.

August 23, 2016 – I’m directing an episode of a very funny new NBC show called Great News. As soon as a trailer is available, I’ll post it here.

June 24, 2016 – This is the trailer for Making History, an awesome new FOX series that I’m directing an episode of this fall.

May 17, 2016 – Here’s the trailer for The Good Place, a VERY cool new show that premieres this Fall on NBC. I’m directing an episode and I can’t wait for you all to see it.

May 16, 2016 – This is the trailer for Son of Zorn, a new Fox series coming this Fall. I directed two episodes and had a great time working on the show. I’ll post air dates once I have them.

May 9, 2016 – Here’s the latest episode I directed of The Last Man on Earth: Smart and Stupid. It was written by Emily Spivey. Check it out if you’re caught up with the show!

May 1, 2016 – I just wrapped directing my 2nd episode of a reeeeally cool new Fox show that airs this fall called Son of Zorn. It was a blast to work on. Keep an eye out this Fall. It’s a good time.

April 6, 2016 – You can watch the episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine I directed on the Fox website or by clicking… Brooklyn Nine-Nine: Paranoia. It was written by Gabe Liedman. Enjoy!

March 14, 2016 – This Wednesday, the season finale of Teachers airs on TV Land at 10:30pm. I directed the entire first season (aside from the pilot) and they’re all available to watch On Demand. We had a hell of a time making the show and I’m very proud to hear the show has been picked up for a 20-episode second season. Good job, Katydids!

March 13, 2016 – My second episode of Last Man on Earth aired last night and you can watch it here…Last Man on Earth: Valhalla. My third episode airs later this season, and I’ll post the date as soon as I have it.

December 4, 2015 – The first episode of The Last Man on Earth I directed aired last week, and you can watch it right here… Last Man on Earth: No Bull. My second episode airs in March and I’m directing a third episode that will air later in the season. I’ll post dates/links once I have them.

September 22, 2015 – I was a guest on Adam Ray & Brad Williams’ ABOUT LAST NIGHT podcast, and it was so much fun. We talked about a million different topics, including the crazy story of my first big break. It’s on iTunes. If you’re at all interested, here ya go: About Last Night: Payman Benz.

August 30, 2015 – I directed all the sketches for this year’s VMA’s, starring Miley Cyrus and a bunch of other cool people. Two of them are up on my Videos page.

July 25, 2015 – Here’s my favorite sketch I directed on Key & Peele, A Cappella, featuring Bo Burnham.

June 30, 2015 – The season of Key & Peele that I directed sketches for premieres July 8th at 10pm on Comedy Central! My sketches are sprinkled in throughout the season and I’ll upload them onto my site as they go online. ALSO, I’m directing all the sketches and field pieces for Why? with Hannibal Buress, which comes on immediately afterwards. It also premieres July 8th on Comedy Central, at 10:30pm. I’ll upload those sketches as they go online as well.

May 13, 2015 – Time to premiere a new series Paul Scheer and I made for JASH. Introducing Scheer-RL, recreations of classic moments from MTV’s hit show TRL. We’re releasing a new episode every day this week. The series features Thomas Middleditch, Ryan Hansen, Kumail Nanjiani, Brett Gelman, Terry Crews, Katie Lowes, Casey Wilson, Randall Park, Joe Lo Truglio and Mark Hoppus from Blink 182.

April 30, 2015 – We just wrapped production on season 1 of Teachers. We premiere next January on TV Land. I’ll post the actual date once it’s announced. If you’re interested in the show, this is the official Twitter account: @TeachersSeries.

January 28, 2015 – Here’s the first sketch I directed as part of the Key & Peele Super Bowl Special, the 3rd installment of one of my favorite recurring sketches ever, East West Bowl. This one has some very special surprises in it… East West Bowl 3: Pro Edition. Enjoy!

January 15, 2015 – Awesome news. I’m directing the first season of a new TV Land series called Teachers, created by and starring the hilarious comedy group The Katydids. We go into production in February and I’ll post the air dates once I have them.

January 12, 2015 – I’m directing the sketches that are part of the Key & Peele Super Bowl Special. It premieres Friday January 30th at 10pm/9pm Central. We have some really fun stuff planned.

September 21, 2014 – Pretty awesome news. I’m directing sketches for the next season of my favorite show Key & Peele. My sketches will air in July 2015. I’ll post updates with air dates once I have them. Comedy!

September 20, 2014 – I felt the need to explain my silly and incredibly flashy-ass name, Payman Benz. If you’re at all curious about it, I wrote a blog that you can read by clicking this sentence.

March 29, 2014 – Today was my last day at Jimmy Kimmel Live. I had a great time as a field director during my 8 months on the show, but alas it was time for me to move on to do other things. It was an awesome job, the staff and crew was top notch and Jimmy was the coolest boss ever. Getting to work on my favorite late night show was pretty sweet.

November 21, 2013 – I directed three XBOX ONE commercials starring Keegan-Michael Key & Jordan Peele from Comedy Central’s Key & Peele. You can watch them by clicking this sentence. They were really fun to make and I hope y’all like em.

July 31, 2013 – Big day! April 24, 2013 – I am proud to present episode 1 of a new series I directed for JASH, created by/starring The ArScheerio Paul Show! Episode 1 features Will Arnett as Bill Clinton. March 22, 2013 – I was lucky enough to direct American Eagle’s 2013 April Fool’s Joke, a fake commercial for a fake product called AEO Skinny Skinny Jeans. It’s already been featured on The Today Show, AdWeek, Mashable, The Huffington Post, GQ, The LA Times, The Hollywood Reporter, The Daily Beast, Fox Business, The NY Daily News, The Cosmopolitan, MSN, Glamour and more! Such an awesome response so far! If you like butts, you’ll enjoy the commercial.

January 21, 2013 – Here’s a NEW video I directed for Yahoo Sketchy called Dannon Birth Control on the Bottom. It was written by/stars the hilarious Megan Amram, and also stars Retta, Rosa Salazar, Diane Mizota, Sonibert Rodriguez…and Weird Al! Please check it out if you have a minute!

January 18, 2013 – I directed some really funny reenactments for the new MTV series “Failosophy.” Check out the show’s trailer here! Failosophy is hosted by the very funny Hasan Minhaj and premieres Thursday February 14th at 10:30pm/9:30 central on MTV. It’s a really fun show so please check it out!

August 22, 2012 – Here’s a new video I directed for College Humor starring Paul Scheer called 50 Shades of Paul! Paul finally gets to audition for the role of Christian Grey in “50 Shades of Grey.”

March 5, 2012 – New video! I’m very proud of this one. It’s an almost shot-for-shot parody of The Hunger Games trailer called The Hungry Games. It’s part of Yahoo’s new series “Sketchy.” It stars Alison Becker, Erin Gibson, Ryan Lee and Nick Krause. It was shot by Todd Banhazl. Thanks for watching!

September 9, 2011 – I was lucky enough to get hired to write the Red Carpet Pre-Show to the Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen! It’s going to be hosted by Adam DeVine, Blake Anderson and Anders Holm of “Workaholics.” I wrote both the online red carpet pre-show as well as the actual televised pre-show that lead into the roast. The Comedy Central Roast of Charlie Sheen airs Monday September 19th.

July 14, 2011 – My newest video School of French Kissing for Dogs. has just been featured as Today’s #1 Video of the Day on G4′s Attack of the Show! The video has also been featured on FunnyOrDie, The Daily What, Film Drunk, D-Listed, GorillaMask, The Frisky, Fark, and more! Awesome.
